Terms of service
Last updated 2026-09-12. These terms apply to the public site, the free Teaser Scan and every paid engagement with Sondar unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
The service
Sondar measures how AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) answer buyer questions about a business, delivers the findings as evidence-linked reports, executes the agreed fix package on the client's own properties, and monitors the result. The service is run by an operator: there is no self-serve dashboard and no client login. Reports are delivered by email and by a private link.
The free Teaser Scan
Requesting a scan through the public form is free and creates no obligation on either side. The operator runs a reduced, single-run scan and emails a short Teaser Report within the delivery window stated on the confirmation page. Sondar may decline a request, for example when the website or vertical is outside the verticals currently served.
Paid engagements
- Audits, fix packages and retainers are quoted after the strategy call. The price bands shown on the home page are anchors, not offers; the quote is the binding figure.
- Invoices are payable within the term stated on them. A retainer runs month to month and either side may end it at the end of a paid month by email.
- Fix-package work is carried out on the client's website and business profiles with the client's authorisation, and every change is logged against the gap it closes.
What the numbers mean
AI engines are non-deterministic and change without notice. Visibility Scores are reported inside published Variance Bands, single-run audits are point-in-time, and no result is a promise of a future answer, ranking or revenue. Sondar reports what the engines said, verbatim and timestamped, and the method behind every figure is published on the methodology page.
Evidence and confidentiality
Every engine answer Sondar captures for a client is stored as an immutable, hashed record so a report can be verified later. Reports and evidence are confidential to the client and are retained for the period stated in the privacy policy. Sample audits prepared for marketing use public information only.
Acceptable use and third parties
Clients must own or be authorised to change the properties Sondar works on. Sondar uses the AI engines' public interfaces under their terms and does not bypass access controls; a capture that hits a login, anti-bot or layout wall is reported as absent, never forced.
Liability
Sondar's liability for a paid engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement in the twelve months before the claim, except where the law does not allow such a limit. Sondar is not liable for decisions the client takes on the basis of a report, for changes in engine behaviour, or for indirect loss.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated; the date above changes when they are, and a running engagement keeps the terms it started under unless both sides agree otherwise. Questions go to jdiawara@gmail.com.
